Spencer Roger Thorsland, 13, of Brandon, died peacefully, Monday, Jan. 8, 2024, at his home.
Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, at the Brandon Valley Assembly of God Church, with a Sharing Time starting at 7 p.m. Funeral services will begin at 1p.m. Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, with viewing beginning at Noon, also at BVAG. A livestreaming link will be provided, so please check back. The family and Spencer request that people wear their “Spencer Wear” to the visitation and service. Interment will be 11:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024 at Big Bend Lutheran Church Cemetery, followed by fellowship in the church.
In lieu of flowers, a memorial has been established at First National Bank, 101 S. Splitrock Blvd., Brandon). Checks can be made payable to the Spencer Thorsland Memorial Fund.
Spencer will be deeply missed by his parents, Cory Thorsland, Milan, Minn., and Lori (David) Huml, Brandon; five brothers, Carter, Parker, Sawyer and Ranger Thorsland and Jaiden Huml; grandparents, Roger and Lois Koosmann and Mark and Terri Thorsland; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Becky Wolff, 65
Becky Wolff, 65, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2024 after a courageous, nine-year battle with ovarian cancer.
She was born Sept. 13, 1958 and raised in Rapid City, S.D. After studying at SDSU, Becky graduated from UND and began a career dedicated to pediatric physical therapy, including 30-plus years supporting students in the Sioux Falls School District.
Becky had a lifelong passion for animals. She always had dogs around and spent much of her life showing, breeding, spoiling and loving them. She enjoyed spending time in the kitchen, particularly baking special request cupcakes for her granddaughters’ birthdays. She also treasured time spent with her family and friends.
Grateful for having shared her life are her sons, Adam (Danielle) Wolff of Milford, Iowa, and Seth Wolff of Sioux Falls; granddaughters, Dillyn and Camryn; sisters, Marsha (Larry) Noble of Rapid City, and Paula (Gus) Gustafson of Billings, Mont.; and many dear relatives and friends.
Becky was preceded in death by her parents, William and Coila Robinson and brother, Mark Robinson.

Angela Kay (Berning) Beyenhof, 49, of Luverne, Minn., died Wednesday, Dec, 20, 2023 at Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha surrounded by family after a hard-fought battle with leukemia.
Brett Allyn Sandberg, 59, of Clearwater, Minn., formerly of Willmar, Minn., died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, at St. Cloud (Minn.) Centre Care Hospital, following a long, hard battle with ancer.
