Brett A. Sandberg, 59

Brett Allyn Sandberg, 59, of Clearwater, Minn., formerly of Willmar, Minn., died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, at St. Cloud (Minn.) Centre Care Hospital, following a long, hard battle with ancer.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Brett was born May 21, 1964 in Willmar. He was baptized and confirmed in Calvary Lutheran Church. In 1982, he graduated from Willmar Senior High School and then attended Willmar Vocational Center, graduating with a degree in welding.

He moved to St. Cloud, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in sociology from St. Cloud University. He worked for UPS until his disability in 2014.

Brett loved camping, fishing, hunting and his dog, “Lady.”

He is survived by his parents, Darwood and Betty Sandberg of Brandon; daughter, Nichole Brederson (Tom Schultz) of Atwater, Minn; granddaughters, Kara and Khloe Brederson of Atwater; and special friend, Julia Hovendick, Clearwater, Minn.
