SIOUX FALLS – When 26-year sheriff’s department veteran Jason Gearman accepted the position as director of Minnehaha County Emergency Management, it’s probably safe to say he didn’t expect to be dealing with a 100-year flood in his first few months on the job.
The storm that socked the region last week flooded streets, yards, parks and basements, but it didn’t deter the Brandon community from pooling their resources, and kindness, to help their neighbors.
