Saturday’s five-game volleyball match pitted two evenly-matched teams against one another and in the end, Brookings pulled off the 3-2 win over the visiting Brandon Valley Lynx.
Class A runner-up Brandon Valley had four players named to the South Dakota High School Fastpitch All-State Team, tying with the state champion O’Gorman Knights for the most athletes from one school.
The Brandon Valley dance team is “pommed” out after several weeks of fine-tuning their most challenging routine of the season and readying it for state.
It was a great week for Brandon Valley’s competitive cheerleaders and coaches, who brought home the BV’s fifth ESD Conference title over the last six seasons Oct. 12 in Huron.
