Lorna Scott, 93, passed away peacefully in the presence of family on Sunday, Dec. 8, 2024 at the Dow Rummel Village Memory Care Facility in Sioux Falls. Visitation will take place Thursday, Dec. 12, 2024 from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at George Boom Funeral Home, 3408 E. 10th St., Sioux Falls. A Celebration of Life will be held Friday, Dec. 13, 2024 at 10 a.m. at George Boom Funeral Home followed by lunch. Burial will take place at the Larchwood Cemetery in Larchwood, Iowa. Lorna will be deeply missed by those who knew her. Her ever-present smile, devotion to faith, kindness, service to and care for others will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

Funeral services for Lyle O. Hanson, 89, of Sioux Falls, formerly of Tyler, Minn., will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2024, at First English Lutheran Church in Tyler, Minn. Visitation is one hour prior to the funeral. Burial will be in the Danebod Cemetery, Tyler.
Todd R. Williams, 78, of Sioux Falls, formerly of Brandon, passed away Saturday, Nov. 30, 2024, at the Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls. Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be at 12:30 p.m., Monday, Dec, 16, 2024, at Risen Savior Catholic Church in Brandon. Memorial visitation will be from 2 p.m. until 4 p.m., Sunday, Dec. 15, 2024, at the George Boom Funeral Chapel in Brandon. A Liturgical Wake Service will follow the visitation at the funeral chapel. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation to the wonderful Veteran organizations who have been so helpful in Todd’s last years. Todd Robert Williams was born Feb. 7, 1946 in Watertown, S.D., to Trebor and Gladys (Lindgren) Williams. Todd attended school in Anchorage, Alaska, before moving back to Watertown, graduating high school in 1964. Todd graduated with a degree in Business from Dakota State College in Madison, S.D., in 1971, and furthered his education by graduating with a Master’s Degree in Education from South Dakota State University in 1972.
