Todd Robert Williams was born Feb. 7, 1946 in Watertown, S.D., to Trebor and Gladys (Lindgren) Williams. Todd attended school in Anchorage, Alaska, before moving back to Watertown, graduating high school in 1964. Todd graduated with a degree in Business from Dakota State College in Madison, S.D., in 1971, and furthered his education by graduating with a Master’s Degree in Education from South Dakota State University in 1972.

Todd proudly served in the U.S. Army with two Vietnam deployments. After his discharge from the Army, Todd continued to serve in the South Dakota National Guard.

Todd was united in marriage with the love of his life, Irene Redmond on Dec. 28, 1968. They welcomed two daughters, Jennifer and Teresa. Todd loved being a dad and grandfather, he took pride in each of his girls and loved to support them in their activities whenever he could.

Highlights of Todd’s career included working at South Dakota State University at the director of the Student Union and his position of Operations Manager with the Brandon Valley School District. Todd had always dreamed of working with the FBI or Secret Service and was honored to have the opportunity to work logistics when President Clinton visited Brandon. He took great pride in each building project he oversaw with Brandon Valley School District but his greatest pride was the Performing Arts Center.  He was so proud of the project and enjoyed seeing many performances there.

Todd was a member of the American Legion, Knights of Columbus, Corvette Club and the South Dakota Association of School Business Officials. He enjoyed spending time with friends and colleagues hunting each year. Todd also enjoyed traveling with Irene and family. Some of his highlights included trips to Italy, Ireland, returning to Alaska, and his trip to Washington D.C. as part of the Honor Flight.

Todd and Irene added a golden doodle, Max, to the family in 2019. Max was a constant companion to Todd. They enjoyed daily walks and Todd took pride in spoiling Max.

Todd is survived by his wife of 55 years, Irene; daughters, Jennifer (Jeff) and Teresa (Ryan); granddaughters, Tara, Gabriella, Lauren, Morgan and Natalie; along with many extended family and friends.

Todd was preceded in death by his parents, brother, T. Trebor Williams, father-in-law, Maurice Redmond and mother-in-law, Geraldine Redmond.
