Bruce R. Hart passed away March 1, 2018 in Gilbert, Ariz. A memorial service will be held at a later time.
He was born on Nov. 2, 1950 in Sioux Falls, and graduated from Brandon Valley High School in 1968.
Survivors include his wife Dixie; sons, Corey of Omaha, Neb., Jody (Stephanie) of Great Falls, Mont., Tom (Taylor) of Tempe, Ariz.; daughter, Jamie (Delvin) Thomas of Escondido, Calif.; two granddaughters; siblings, Brent (Carol) of St. Augustine, Fla., Barbara Schultz of Aberdeen, Shirley Hart and Sheila Hart, both of Sioux Falls; and his mother-in-law Arda Kadinger of Sioux Falls.

Funeral services for Louise C. Cronn, 90, of Brandon, were held Saturday, March 10, 2018 at George Boom Funeral Home & Crematory in Sioux Falls. Interment was in the Hills of Rest Cemetery.
Mrs. Cronn died Wednesday, March 7 at Bethany Home in Brandon.
She is survived by a daughter, Bev (Art) Richert of Brandon; seven grandchildren; sister, Lois Moe of Great Falls, Mont.; brother-in-law, Merle Cronn of Henderson, Nev.; sister-in-law, Wanda Arneson of California.
Helen Zitek Dailey, 95, died Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Avera Flandreau Hospital.
Helen is survived by sons, Will, Flandreau, Dean (Marci), Pipestone, Minn., Kevin, Brandon, Frank (Lori), Blaine, Minn., Tobin (Tina), Flandreau; Brian, Pipestone; daughter, Colleen Dailey Kuechle, Crystal, Minn.; daughter-in-law, Sharon Wilts Dailey, Flandreau; 21 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren and many cherished friends including the entire Edgewood Vista staff and residents.
Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, March 12, 2018 at Ss. Simon and Jude Catholic Church, Flandreau, with burial in the church cemetery.
Funeral services for Donald Jellema, 86, Brandon, were held Monday, March 12, 2018 at Heartland Funeral Home in Brandon. Interment, with Full Military Honors, was in the Hills of Rest Cemetery in Sioux Falls.
Mr. Jellema died at home on Wednesday, March 7, 2018.
He is survived by his wife, Louella; sons, Joel (Wendy), Brandon, Kevin (Cheryl), Sioux Falls; daughter Laurel, Sioux Falls; four grandchildren; and seven great grandchildren.
Memorial services for Sandra A. Stamp, 76, of Sioux Falls, were held Thursday, March 1, 2018, at George Boom Funeral Home & Crematory, Sioux Falls.
Mrs. Stamp died Saturday, Feb. 24, 2018.

Rose M. Gacke, 96, of Rock Valley, Iowa, died Sunday, Feb. 25, 2018, at Whispering Heights in Rock Valley. Mass of Christian Burial was held Thursday, March 1 at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Rock Valley. Burial was in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.
Rose is survived by five children: Carol (Jerry) Flanagan of Sioux Falls; Joe (Lin) Gacke of Hudson; Pat (David) Larson of Apple Valley, Minn.; Steve (Cheri) Gacke, and Nancy (Mark) Wynia , all of Rock Valley; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; sisters-in-law, Gladys Daniels of Sioux Falls, Beatrice Bruggeman of Brandon, and Betty Gacke of Larchwood, Iowa; brother-in-law, Bob Schreurs of Slayton, Minn.; and a host of other family and friends.
Funeral services for Richard L. ‘Dick’ Merrick, 87, of Alcester, were held Sunday, March 4, 2018 at Big Springs Baptist Church, rural Alcester.
Mr. Merrick died Wednesday, Feb. 28, 2018 at his home near Alcester.
He is survived by his wife, Janet; daughters, Dawn Merrick of Chatsworth, Iowa, Holly Liston of Alcester, and Kristi DeBruin and her fiancé Albert Oliver of Worthing; son, Tory Merrick of Alcester; daughter-in-law, Linda Merrick of Alcester; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and his sister, Marlene “Molly” Thorson of Brandon.
Funeral services for James “Jim” Hembree, 70, of Sioux Falls, will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 8, 2018 at Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church in Sioux Falls. Family will be present to greet friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, March 7 at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls.
Mr. Hembree died Saturday, March 3, 2018.
Jack Mortrude, 82, Brandon, died Sunday, March 4, 2018, at home after a recent struggle with health issues.
Memorial services will be 1 p.m. Friday, March 9, 2018, at Heartland Funeral Home, with visitation beginning one-hour prior. Military honors will follow.
Jack will be deeply missed by his wife, Delores; three children, Wayne (Kim), Sioux Falls, Todd Mortrude and Diane (Brian) Eide, all of Brandon; and eight grandchildren.
Memorial services for Evelyn M. Brown, 83, of Inwood, Iowa, were held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church, rural Inwood. Burial of cremated remains will be held at a later date at Richland Cemetery in Inwood.
Mrs. Brown died Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018 at Dougherty Hospice House in Sioux Falls.
She is survived by her husband, Paul; children, David (Deloris) Brown of Inwood, De Ann (Bob) Herting of Brandon; Dennis (Connie) Brown of Inwood; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and sister, Mildred Hyronemus of Rock Valley, Iowa.
