Austin Lovern Lambertz, 23, of Brandon, died Thursday, January 22, 2026 in Sioux Falls. Private family services are pending for later this spring.
Daryl Lee De Groot, 49, of Valley Springs, died Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2026, at his home. A Celebration of Daryl’s Life will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 27 at Trinity Christian Reformed Church of Rock Valley (Iowa) with Rev. Henry Lengkeek officiating. Donald W. Zweep, 99, of Sioux Falls, formerly Garretson and Brandon, passed away peacefully at his home at Legends of Lake Lorraine in Sioux Falls. Funeral services will begin at 10:30 a.m. Friday, Jan. 23, 2026, at Zion Lutheran Church in Garretson. Interment will be in the Norway Lutheran Cemetery, rural Garretson. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, at the Minnehaha Funeral Home, Garretson. He is survived by daughters, Renee (Ken) Wolf and Connie (Terry) Johnson; sister, Devonna Etrheim; 12 grandchildren, and 37 great grandchildren.
Ellen Mae Hawes, 80, of Brandon, died unexpectedly on Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026. Memorial services are planned for 5 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 31 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Sioux Falls. Interment at a later date will be at Fort Snelling in Saint Paul, Minn., next to her late husband, Jim.

Dennis Jacob Keith VonDeLinde, 81, of Tracy, Minn., died peacefully Thursday, Jan. 15, 2026, at the Sanford Tracy Medical Center in Tracy, from a stroke. A private service is being planned at Fort Ripley in Little Falls, Minn., honoring his service to the country in the U.S. Navy. A celebration of life will follow.

Glenda Pauline Meyer, 70, of Sioux Falls, died Wednesday, Jan. 7, 2026, at the Avera McKennan Hospital after a short illness. A Celebration of Life service, with a Time of Sharing, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 24, 2026, at George Boom Funeral Home in Sioux Falls. Visitation with family present will begin at 1 p.m. that same day at the George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory. Interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery at Campbell, Neb.
June (Marks) Wika, 96, of Hills, Minn., formerly of Sioux Falls, died Sunday, Jan. 4, 2026, at the Tuff Memorial Home in Hills. Funeral services were held Friday, Jan. 9 at Chapel Hill Funeral Home in Sioux Falls.
