BLC Community Food Truck Night
Brandon Lutheran Church invites the community to their spring Community Food Truck Night from 5-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 13. The event takes place in the church parking lot, 600 E. Holly Blvd.
VS Legion BBQ on Thursday’s calendar
The Valley Springs America Legion will serve its first barbecue fundraiser of the season from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, May 14. Hamburgers, hot dogs, barbecues, calico beans, chips, cole slaw, fruit salad, beverage and desserts are on the menu.
Brandon Farmers Market now open for season
The Brandon Farmers Market is now open weekly for the 2026 season. The Market will be open 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturdays in the parking lot at 1200 E. Birch St.
BV Chamber Appreciation Mixer is May 19
Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce members are invited to the annual Appreciation Mixer from 5:30-7 p.m. Tuesday, May 19 at the Brandon Golf Course. Scholarships to three Brandon Valley High School seniors, along with the Business and Volunteer of Year awards will be presented.
Camp Invention seeks high school leadership volunteers

Brandon’s Big Celebration on tap for May 22-24
McHardy Park in Brandon will be the place to be May 22-24, as Celebration United Methodist Church once again is partnering with Mac’s Carnival and Attractions for the 2026 Brandon’s Big Celebration.
The three-day event offers carnival rides, games, a car show (1-4 p.m. Saturday), of course, mouth-watering carnival foods. Donate a baby item for Celebration’s Baby Blessings to receive a coupon for $3 off a wristband.
The carnival will be open from 6-11 p.m. Friday, May 22; 1-11 p.m. Saturday, May 23; and noon-5 p.m. Sunday, May 24.
