UJ’s Dean’s List honors local student

Gabriella Schroder, of Brandon, was named to the University of Jamestown Dean’s List for the fall semester of 2025.

Students are named to the Dean’s List when they earn a 3.5 GPA while taking at least 12 credit hours for the semester. In total, there were 421 students on the list for this semester.

STC students serve 120 at Bishop Dudley Hospitality House

Thirty-four students, faculty and staff members volunteered their time preparing and serving meals at the Bishop Dudley Hospitality House in Sioux Falls. The effort was part of Southeast Technical College’s Service to Community Days, that take place twice each year. 

Area students include: Hannah Haile, Garretson; Quentin Gundermann, Valley Springs. 

According to its website, the most recent statistics indicate that more than 1,000 men, women and children in South Dakota are without a home. The Bishop Dudley Hospitality House offers a warm, safe and secure place to start the road back to a more stable, long-term way of living. 

Located in downtown Sioux Falls, the facility is within walking distance of several agencies that provide programs for the needy, supporting a proven plan to work in partnership with existing agencies to coordinate many services under a single roof.
