Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry
Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry are canned chicken, pizza sauce and crust, mustard and ketchup, pancake mix and syrup, cake/brownie mix, peanut butter, pudding snack packs, shampoo, body wash, bar soap and laundry detergent.
To make appointments for pickups or donations, call 582-7001. The BAFP is open from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Used eyeglasses may be dropped off at BAFP, Jones Family Eye Care and Lewis in Brandon.
Biz Bash, Kidpreneur is Saturday
Biz Bash and Kidpreneur, both endeavors of the Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, are set for 9:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6 in the Splitrock Square Parking lot.
This vendor booth event allows local businesses, creators and kidpreneurs to showcase products and services at the family-friendly event.

Homesteader Day is Sunday at Beaver Creek Nature Area
Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the pioneer life from more than 100 years ago from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7 at Beaver Creek Nature Area 48351 264th St., Valley Springs.
The historical Samuelson cabin will be open for visitors to see and experience. There will also be pioneer agriculture demonstrations, a black smith, civil war soldiers, Dutch oven cooking, rope making, candle dipping, music and more. The event is free for all ages.
BBQ fundraiser at Valley Springs Legion
The final BBQ fundraiser at the Valley Springs American Legion is Thursday, Sept. 11 at the Legion Hall. Serving is from 5-7 p.m. and a freewill offering will be taken.
Ladies Night Out Quarter Auction is Sept. 12
Gather up your gal pals for a night of fun at the first ever Ladies Night Out Quarter Auction on Friday, Sept. 12 at Tailgators. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and the auction fun begins at 6 p.m. The event is an endeavor of the Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce.
