Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry are pancake syrup, Manwich, pizza sauce, saltine and snack crackers, canned chicken, canned carrots, granola bars, cereal and shampoo.
To make appointments for pickups or donations, call 582-7001. The BAFP is open from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
VA Baby Shower
is June 17
Veterans, significant other of a Veteran or family member who is expecting a baby or recently gave birth are invited to the VA Baby Shower from 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, June 17 at the Royal C. Johnson Veterans’ Memorial Hospital Auditorium, 2501 W. 22nd St., Sioux Falls.

Brandon City Hall closed June 19
Brandon City Hall will be closed Thursday, June 19 in observance of Juneteenth, which is a federal holiday in the United States that commemorates the end of slavery in Texas on June 19, 1865. It also marks the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the U.S.
The Brandon and Valley Springs Post Offices will also be closed that day.

She will be the featured speaker at the Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce’s Tuesday, June 24 On the Menu luncheon. The program begins at 11:45 a.m. at Tailgator’s Grill & Bar. There is a $15 registration fee.

11th annual Jim
Fjerestad Memorial Golf Tourney
Registrations are being accepted for the 11th annual Jim Fjerestad Memorial Golf Tournament on Friday, June 27 at the Brandon Golf Course. Entry fee is $100 per person, which includes golf, cart and lunch.
To register a team, contact Brent Fjerestad at (202) 230-2992. The deadline to register is June 16.
Tournament proceeds will benefit the Brandon Valley Baseball Association.
