Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive this
Saturday
The National Association of Letter Carriers annual food drive, Stamp Out Hunger, is Saturday, May 10. Patrons are asked to bag healthy, non-perishable food items and place the donation near your mailbox. Letter carriers will collect the donations that will be delivered to the Brandon Area Food Pantry.

Valley Springs Rest Area/Welcome Center on Westbound I-90 temporarily closed for annual cleaning
The Valley Springs Rest Area and Welcome Center on westbound Interstate 90 will be temporarily closing at 7 a.m. Monday, May 12, for annual spring cleaning.
It is scheduled to reopen to the public at 5 p.m. Tuesday, May 13.
Travelers are encouraged to find other accommodations during the temporary closure.
Arise With the Guys Monday night at
Brandon Lutheran
All men in the Brandon and Valley Springs area are invited to attend Arise With the Guys beginning at 6 p.m. Monday, May 12 at Brandon Lutheran Church. Pizza Ranch pizza will start the night and the program begins at 6:30 p.m. The annual event brings men together to hear professional and local athletes and coaches share inspirational stories of faith and godly values, preparing men of all ages to be “uncommon men.”
The rebroadcasted event will feature Tony Dungy, NFL Hall of Fame coach and NFL TV commentator, Jared Allen, former defensive end for the Minnesota Vikings and 2025 Uncommom Award recipient; and Paul Allen, well-known KFAN host and voice of the Minnesota Vikings.
Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry
Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry are granolas bars, bottled juice, canned soups (not Chunky-type), saltine crackers, canned pasta, small boxes of fruit snacks, bagged rice, cereal, laundry detergent (32 oz.), shampoo.
To make appointments for pickups or donations, call 582-7001. The BAFP is open from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Free bike registration in Brandon
Brandon Police will register bikes for kids and adults from 1-5 p.m. Saturday, May 17 on Main Avenue.
The no-charge event is hosted by the VFW Auxiliary Three Rivers Post 4726 and is open to all residents.
