Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry are cereal, saltine crackers, Hamburger Helper, laundry detergent (78 ounces) and Kleenex.
To make appointments for pickups or donations, call 582-7001. The BAFP is open from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Used eye glasses and hearing aids for the Brandon Lions Club may also be dropped off at the BAFP.
Tickets on sale for BVHS spring musical, Peter Pan
Tickets for Brandon Valley High’s spring musical, Peter Pan, may be purchased online at gobound.com/sd/schools/brandonvalley/tickets. Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students.
Peter Pan will be performed at 7 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday, April 24-26, and at 1 p.m. Sunday, April 27 in the BVHS Performing Arts Center.
DEA National Take Back Day is April 26
Brandon residents may bring their unneeded medications for safe disposal to the Brandon Police Department, 304 Main Ave., from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Saturday, April 26, which is DEA National Take Back Day.
Huset’s Speedway is topic of spring BHS program
Brandon Historical Society will host their spring historical presentation at 6:30 p.m. Sunday, April 27 at the BVHS Community Room. Huset’s general manager Doug Johnson will speak on the history of the speedway. Refreshments will be served.
Brandon Tree Branch Disposal Day is May 17
The City of Brandon will host its annual Tree Branch Disposal Day from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Saturday, May 17. Only branches up to 12 inches in diameter and 10 feet in length may be brought to 409 N. Sioux Blvd. (entrance north of the Fire Station.
The branch disposal is open to Brandon city residents only. Proof of residence must be provided (i.e. SD driver’s license and/or current city utility bill). A small fee will be charged (cash or check only): Pickup truck or smaller, $10; Trailer, $10; pickup with trailer, $15.
Items not allowed are leaves, grass, lumber, yard waste and pet waste.

Brandon Sr. Citizens meet Thursdays
The Brandon Senior Citizens meet at 12:30 p.m. Thursdays at the VFW for Bingo, cards socializing and coffee. All seniors are welcome.
