Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry

Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry are cereal, saltine crackers, Hamburger Helper, laundry detergent (78 ounces) and Kleenex.

To make appointments for pickups or donations, call 582-7001. The BAFP is open from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Used eye glasses and hearing aids for the Brandon Lions Club may also be dropped off at the BAFP.

Spaghetti dinner & meat raffle at VFW

Brandon VFW Post 4726 will host an all-you-can-eat spaghetti dinner and meat raffle from 4-6:30 p.m. Saturday, April 12. Free will donations will be accepted for the meal ($10 suggested per adult, $5 per child).

Multiple meat bundles will also be raffled off.

Free hams to be given away Saturday

The Brandon Area Food Pantry has approximately 150 hams to be given away to anyone who resides within the Brandon Valley School District. The ham give-away is from 9:30-11:30 a.m. Saturday, April 12, at the Brandon Area Food Pantry, 321 Main Ave.

Members from Brandon VFW Post 4726 will assist the BAFP in the endeavor.

Post-Legislative

Coffee is Saturday

Join District 2 Legislators from 9:30-11 a.m. Saturday, April 12 at Bethany Meadows’ Community Room for a recap of the 2025 Legislative session. 

The event is organized by the Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce.

BVHS Jr.-Sr. Prom is Saturday

“Central Park Romance: Between the Moon and New York City” is the theme for Brandon Valley High’s 2025 Junior-Senior Prom. The formal event is Saturday, April 12 at the high school. The Grand March begins at 8 p.m. in the Performing Arts Center. The public is invited to attend the Grand March and to take pictures until 9:10 p.m., followed by a night of dancing until 11:45 p.m.

REchurch to host Easter Basket event

Parents are invited to stop by REchurch, 113 N. Splitrock Blvd., Brandon, from 1-3:30 p.m. Sunday, April 13 to build a free, customized Easter basket for your child. Candy, toys, bubbles and other fun trinkets will be available to include in the baskets.
