Legislative Coffee set for Feb. 8 at Bethany Meadows
Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce will host a Legislative Coffee from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 8 in the Community Room at Bethany Meadows. District 2 Legislators, Senator Steve Kolbeck and Representatives John Sjaarda and Dave Kull, will update constituents on the 100th Legislative Session, which began Jan. 14.
The event is free and open to the public.
‘Snow Much Fun’ at Brandon Library on Jan. 25
“Snow Much Fun” is a special event planned for Saturday, Jan. 25 at the Brandon Community Library. The event is from 10-11:30 a.m. and is intended for kids ages K-5 and will offer snow-themed crafts and activities.

January’s On The Menu luncheon at Tailgator’s will feature representatives from the city of Brandon, the South Dakota Department of Transportation and local developers. The event begins is from 11:45 a.m.-1 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28. Pre-registration is required. Visit brandonvalleychamber.com to register. There is a $15 fee for lunch.

Journaling’ program planned for Valley Springs Library
The Valley Springs Branch Library will host a class for adults, “Curious About Journaling” from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 28 at the Library. Register online (siouxlandlib.org) and click on the “Programs and Education” link.
BVSD Early
Childhood Screening
is Jan. 30
Brandon Valley School District will conduct its annual Early Childhood Developmental Screening from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30 at Brandon Elementary School.
Screenings are free for all children from birth to age 4 who live in the BVSD. South Dakota School for the Deaf will also provide free hearing screenings.

Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry
Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry are pancake mix, syrup, boxes/envelopes of instant potatoes, small boxes of fruit snacks, Sidedishes (noodles and rice), ketchup, mustard, boxes of individual hot cocoa mix, instant oatmeal, Kleenex and paper towels. The BAFP is open from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
