VFW Family Bingo Night is Jan. 11
Hero Haven is teaming up with Brandon’s Three Rivers VFW Post 4726 for the next family bingo night.
Bingo will be called from 7-9:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 11.
Jan. 16 is soup supper at VS Legion
Valley Springs American Legion will host a soup supper beginning at 5 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 16. The menu will feature chili, bean and ham and white chicken chili soups. A free will offering will be accepted.
BVSD Early
Childhood Screening
is Jan. 30
Brandon Valley School District will conduct its annual Early Childhood Developmental Screening from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 30 at Brandon Elementary School.
Screenings are free for all children from birth to age 4 who live in the BVSD. South Dakota School for the Deaf will also be providing free hearing screenings at this time.

Military History Night
Military History Night programming by the Valley Springs American Legion returns Sunday, Jan. 19. Programs, which are free and open to the public, start at 6:30 p.m. The January program topic is yet to be announced.
Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry
Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry are boxed potatoes, Hamburger Helper, fruit snacks (small boxes), pizza sauce and crust, microwave popcorn, Kleenex, shampoo, toothpaste and bar soap.
To make appointments for pickups or donations, call 582-7001. The BAFP is open from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Wild Game Feed gears up for 2025 event
The Ed Polzine Wild Game Feed committee is accepting donations of wild game and live and silent auction items for its 2025 wild game feed and auction. The committee has received a generous donation of pheasants, so will not be accepting any pheasants at this time.

This is the 40th year for the event, which has traditionally been held the Saturday evening before the Super Bowl at the Brandon VFW. This year, the event is Saturday, Feb. 8.
