BCF Oak &Vine
is Friday
The Brandon Community Foundation will host the annual Oak & Vine, a fundraiser and friend-raiser event from 6-8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25 at the Holiday Inn Express in Brandon. The event is an opportunity to celebrate the community’s blessings, award grants and recognize this year’s Spirit of Brandon recipient, Jim Heinitz.

Saturday is final
utdoor Farmers’ Market of the season
The Brandon Farmers Market, open every Saturday from 9 a.m.-1:30 p.m. at 925 N. Splitrock Blvd., will have its final outdoor market on Saturday, Oct. 26. Along with all of the vendor sales that day, there will be a Trunk or Treat for the kids.
Trick-or-Treat on the Trails is Saturday
Venture out to Big Sioux Rec Area, Brandon, for Trick-or-Treat on the Trails from 3-6:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 26 The event starts near the picnic shelter and a valid South Dakota State Park entrance license is required.
Valley Springs Trunk or Treat is Sunday
Trick-or-treaters are invited to Legion Park from 4-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 27 for Trunk or Treat. The event is an endeavor of the Valley Springs Community Club.
Turkey Supper &
Indoor Marching
Band Show is Oct. 29
Brandon Valley Band Parents are hosting the 60th annual Turkey Supper and Indoor Marching Show on Tuesday, Oct. 29 at the high school. The turkey supper is from 4-8 p.m. and the BV Marching Lynx will perform two shows in the Performing Arts Center at 6 and 7:30 p.m. Tickets are available from BVHS band students or at the door.
VFW’s personal
hygiene drive underway
VFW Three Rivers Post 4726 in Brandon is conducting a personal hygiene drive. All of the donated items will be dispersed to local area veterans in need. Lotion and deodorant are highly requested items. Donations may be dropped off at the VFW, 321 Main Ave.
Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry
Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry are hard taco shells, pancake mix and syrup, all varieties of condensed soups, bottled juices, pizza crust mixes, pizza sauce, instant mashed potatoes in envelopes), Kleenex, shampoo and bar soap.
The BAFP is open from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
