6,700-plus Huskers named to Deans’ List for spring 2025

More than 6,700 University of Nebraska-Lincoln students, including six local students, have been named to the Deans’ List for the spring semester of the 2024-25 academic year.

Students from Brandon are Jackson Dathe, a sophomore mechanical engineering major, and Brady Giles, a senior biological systems engineering; from Garetson are Hannah Pearce, a senior mathematics and data science major, Mads Pearce, senior history major, and Ethan Wintertown, a finance major; and from Sioux Falls, Greyson Bortnem, a freshman construction management major. 

 

Iowa State University announces spring 2025 Dean’s List

More than 11,300 Iowa State University students have been recognized for outstanding academic achievement by being named to the 2025 spring semester Dean’s List. Students named to the Dean’s List must earn a grade point average of at least 3.50 on a 4.00 scale while carrying a minimum of 12 credit hours of graded course work.

Area students named to the Dean’s List from Garretson are: Gabriel Mankowski, computer engineering, B.S., and Natalie Stewart, animal science, B.S.; from Renner are Riley Dobbins, agricultural systems technology, B.S.; and Nadia Snow, environmental science, B.S. (AGLS). Snow was also named to the President’s List, which requires a student to maintain a 4.0 GPA for two consecutive semesters.

 

Kane named to ILCC Dean’s List

Alexander Kane, of Brandon, is one of 242 students at Iowa Lakes Community College, to be named to the Dean’s List. The Dean’s List acknowledges full-time students who earned a GPA of 3.25 or higher with a minimum of 12 graded credits completed.

 

Area students on Minnesota State, Mankato Dean’s list

The Academic High Honor and Honor lists (Dean’s lists) for the past spring semester at Minnesota State University, Mankato have been announced by Provost and Senior Vice President for Academic Affairs David Hood. 

Among 4,037 students, a total of 1,312 students qualified for the High Honor List by achieving a 4.0 straight “A” average, while 2,725 students earned a 3.5 to 3.99 average to qualify for the Honor List.  

To qualify for academic honors, undergraduate students must be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours for the semester.

Students from Brandon on the High Honor List are Ella Gienapp, Jillian Gienapp, Cait Jacobson and Maddy Mofle; on the Honor List are Ben Livingston and Ellie Vis Douglas; and from Valley Springs, Kristia Bjorum was named to the High Honor List.
