In 2017, 12 points separated the first-place Sioux Falls Lincoln girls from Brandon Valley for the Metro Conference title. Fast forward a year, three-and-a-half points separated the two, but this time, the Lady Lynx clawed out the 135-131.5 title league.
Brandon Valley’s track and field teams were among one of the biggest fields of athletes in the 50-year history of the Pierre Legion Relays on Thursday. Nearly 1,000 preps were involved in the half-century old relays, with the Lynx rising to the top in a handful of events.
Snow, ice and generally dreary outdoor conditions this spring thus far have led to a string of track and field meet cancellations, but Brandon Valley was finally able to compete April 12 on the O’Gorman track in Sioux Falls.
