VS Easter Egg Hunt is Saturday
The Valley Springs Community Club’s annual Easter Egg Hunt is set for 10 a.m. Saturday, March 28. The Hunt will take place on the grounds of Valley Springs Elementary School. As always, the Easter Bunny will be on hand for pictures with the kids.
ReChurch to host Kids Easter basket give-awa is Sunday
ReChurch, 113 N. Splitrock Blvd., Brandon, is hosting a Kids Easter Basket Giveaway from 12-2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 29.
SVE District 6 meeting is March 31
Brandon Valley High School will be the host site for the District 6 meeting and director election on Tuesday, March 31. A complimentary meal will be served from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and the meeting begins at 7 p.m.
SVE members can register to win a 2026 Basin Electric Bus Tour (July 7-9). There will also be a safety booth to sign up for a car safety kit, which will be given away May 8.
SVE members are also reminded to bring the postcard mailed to patrons last week to receive a $25 bill credit.
Nominate a BV Teacher, Employee of the Year
Brandon Valley School District and First National Bank have once again partnered to recognize the Brandon Valley Teacher of the Year for the 2025-26 school year. Parents, students, and staff are encouraged to nominate a BV teacher for this honor.
BVSD is also partnering with Brandon Ace Hardware to recognize a Classified Employee of the Year. Classified employees include Administrative Assistants / Office Staff, Child Nutrition Services, Custodians, Educational Assistants, Grounds, Information Technology, Nursing, and Transportation departments.
Nomination forms can be picked up at any school office, the BV Administration Centeror may be printed from each school’s website.
Nomination forms are due to the BVSD Administration Center, 300 S. Splitrock Blvd., no later than Monday, April 6.
Brandon Farmers Market opens May 2
The Brandon Farmers Market opens for the 2026 season Saturday, May 2. The Market will be open 9 a.m.-1 p.m. on Saturdays in the parking lot at 1200 E. Birch St.
Other notable dates are: Christmas in July, July 18; Apple Fest, Aug. 22; Pumpkin Palooza, Sept. 19; Pet Costume Contest, Oct. 24; and Trunk or Treat, Oct. 31.
