Doreen Howey, 82

Doreen Faye Howey (Fodness), 82, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Jan. 22, 2024 at a memory care facility in Surprise Ariz.

She will be interned with her husband Larry Dean Howey, on May 20, 2024, 2:30 p.m., at the National Veterans Cemetary in Phoenix, Ariz.

Doreen and Larry dedicated their lives to teaching, which included the Brandon Valley School District. She specialized in teaching reading.

She is survived by her children, Tammy Howey-Bisgaard (Joshua) of Leathbridge, Canada, and Tom D. Howey, MD (Diane) of Brandon and Prescott, Ariz.; grandchildren, Brian Howey (Abby Larson) of Oakland, Calif., and Nicole Howey, DVM (Kyle Norman, DVM) of Prescott-Valley, Ariz.; sister, Annette St. Clair (Duke Ellens) of Chester; brother, Chuck Fodness (Allie) of Fountain Hills, Ariz.; and many nieces, nephews and friends.
