605 Magic Art Bus at Brandon Library 

The 605 Magic Art Bus will make a stop at the Brandon Community Library from 10 a.m.-noon Wednesday, June 10. This special event is for kids ages K-5.

 

Cars and Coffee is coming to Brandon Saturday

Cars and Coffee is coming to Brandon! It’s short and sweet with no admission fees or trophy drama. Come to see some of the cool cars, trucks and motorcycles from the local area. Anyone who owns a unique mode of motor transportation is invited to display from 8-10 a.m. Saturday, June 13 at Annie’s Coffee Bar & Roastery, 721 N. Splitrock Blvd.

Plans are in the works for more Cars & Coffee events every other weekend, weather permitting, into September.

 

Coffee with the Council on Saturday

Join two members of the Brandon City Council at Kingbird Coffee, 509 N. Splitrock Blvd., from 9-10 a.m. Saturday, June 13.

 

Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry

Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry are pickles, jams/jellies, flour, sugar, powdered sugar, brown sugar, seasonings and spices.

To make appointments for pickups or donations, call 582-7001. The BAFP is open from 3:30-5:30 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Used eye glasses and hearing aids for the Brandon Lions Club may be dropped off at the BAFP, at Jones Family Eye Care and Lewis in Brandon.

 

Pie & Ice Cream Social with the Historical Society

The Brandon Historical Society, in conjunction with the Minnehaha County Historical Society, will host a Pie and Ice Cream Social at the picnic shelter at Pioneer Park in Brandon at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, June 18. There will also be a short presentation on the history of Brandon.

It is free and open to the public, with the BVHS Community Room as the alternate site in case of inclement weather.

 

Register for Aug. 15 Deckert-Garrow Golf Scramble

Registration is open for the first annual Deckert-Garrow Golf Scramble on Saturday, Aug. 15. The four-person scramble will be played at Hidden Valley Golf Course, teeing off with a 10:30 a.m. shotgun start. Cost is $320 per team and is open to golfers 18 years and older.
