16th annual Brandon Area Prayer Breakfast is Friday
The 16th annual Brandon Area Prayer Breakfast is Friday, Aug. 16 at Brandon Valley High School. Doors open at 6:30 a.m. for a light breakfast, and the program begins at 7 a.m. in the Performing Arts Center. This year’s speaker is Heather Kittelson, a woman of faith who is not afraid to be bold for Christ.
Kittleson is a wife, mom, keynote speaker, founder of Fortitude Ministry, host of “Fortitude” podcast and founder of “I AM Fortified” events.
Tickets are $10 each or $75 for a table of eight. Tickets are available at the door or by calling (6-05) 594-8250. Students under age 18 are admitted free.
Brandon Pool closing for season Friday
The final day to splish and splash in the Brandon Community Pool is Friday, Aug. 16. The pool will close for the season at 5 p.m.
Liberty Quartet
concert is Sunday
Abiding Savior Free Lutheran Church of Sioux Falls will host Liberty Quartet at 6 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, preceded at 5:30 p.m. with hymn singing. There is no charge to attend.

Citywide rummage sales are Aug. 23-24
The 15th annual Brandon Citywide Fall Rummage Sales are planned for Friday, Aug. 23 and Saturday, Aug. 24. The final day to register is Friday, Aug. 16. To register or view the complete list of rummages, visit brandonrummages.com. Cost is $7 per sale.
Brandon MOPS is now MomCo of Brandon
The MomCo of Brandon, formerly MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers), now has two meetup options: 6-8 p.m. Thursdays and 9-11 a.m. Fridays. Gatherings are held twice a month at Brandon Valley Assembly of God.
MomCo of Brandon, a non-denominational faith-based organization, is a community of moms, from pregnancy through moms of school-aged kids, supporting each other through the seasons of motherhood.

Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry are bottled juice, microwave popcorn, envelopes of muffin mixes, small boxes of PopTarts, Manwich, Hamburger Helper, small cans of beef stew, box mix of Jello and pudding, granola bars, Kleenex.
