BVHS hosting State One-Acts, volunteers needed
The Performing Arts Center at Brandon Valley High School will serve as the host site for South Dakota High School’s State One Act competitions. The event is from 8 a.m.-10 p.m. for three days of competition, Feb. 1-3.
BV parents, students and community are being to asked to consider signing up for a slot volunteer as a door monitor, backstage helper, or tech-shop load in.

Deadline to apply for BV Athletic Booster Club scholarship is March 15
The Brandon Valley Booster Athletic Scholarship (for BVHS seniors who have participated in BV athletics as an athlete, manager or trainer for at least four seasons and plan to attend a post-secondary institution next fall) is now open. Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry
Current needs at the Brandon Food Pantry are small boxes of instant oatmeal (variety flavors), fruit snacks, breakfast bars, pancake mix and syrup, Spam, cookies, pizza crust.
To make appointments for pickups or donations, call 582-7001. The BAFP is open from 4-6 p.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Used eye glasses and hearing aids for the Brandon Lions Club may also be dropped off at the BAFP.
Brandon Burger Battle has week to go
There is just one week remaining in the second annual Brandon Burger Battle. Organized by the Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce, the Battle continues now through Jan. 31.

Brandon Boss Gobblers Hunting Heritage Banquet is Friday
The Brandon Boss Gobblers will host their annual Hunting Heritage Banquet on Friday, Jan. 26 at the Holiday Inn Express in Brandon. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. and dinner is at 7 p.m.
