Supe's On: Strategic, 5-year plans are road maps for BVSD

By:
Dr. Jarod Larson, BVSD Superintendent

With the holiday season upon us and a new year on the horizon, taking the time to reflect is important. Introspection fosters awareness and helps us understand our strengths and areas for growth. In January, the Brandon Valley Board of Education will approve our district’s updated strategic plan. We have utilized data and patron feedback to guide our reflective path forward. Ultimately the strategic planning process is a method of robust reflection outlining priorities and actions for success.

Plan the work. Work the plan.

Another important planning process the Brandon Valley School District utilizes is an annual 5-year planning process. This important planning process outlines the projected staffing needs, enrollment, and programmatic needs for the next five years. Operating with finite resources, this planning process provides critical information as we prioritize available resources and plan for the 2025-26 school year.

School resumes in the Brandon Valley School District from Winter Break on Thursday, Jan. 2.
