Supe's On: BVSD staff are backbone to success

By:
Dr. Jarod Larson, BVSD Superintendent

The 2026 Brandon Valley Staff Recognition Banquet is set to be held on Tuesday, May 5 at 6 p.m. in the Brandon Valley High School Commons. Within the Recognition Banquet, we honor our retiring staff, highlight those staff with extended years of service, celebrate the incredible quality of our educators, and honor those former staff members whom we have lost in the past year.

Many years ago, the Brandon Valley Teacher of the Year program was established in a joint effort between the Brandon Valley School District and First National Bank to recognize the superior ability of educators to inspire students of all backgrounds and abilities to learn. The purpose of the program is to recognize the outstanding contributions of teachers and their vital role in the educational process. The Brandon Valley School District Teacher of the Year is nominated by a student or family and selected by a committee. Our district’s Teacher of the Year will be announced at the Brandon Valley Staff Recognition Banquet. In collaboration with Ace Hardware of Brandon, we also celebrate and announce a BVSD Classified Employee of the Year at the banquet.

While celebrating individual success is important, the collective commitment and dedication of our staff to student learning has made the 2025-26 school year a success. The process of educating our youth takes many individuals, serving in a wide variety of roles. Every day within our schools, staff work to promote positive learning experiences and create learning environments that result in success. Go Lynx!
