Supe's On: Beaming with pride!
Moments of tremendous pride occur often within the Brandon Valley School as students and staff are continually working to engage in service projects that positively impact our school district community. Whether community service clean-up days, Building a Brighter BV, or the recent collaborative project shared at the “Board of Education Good News Report” on Jan. 27 by the BVHS Creative Minds Club (BVHS Art Club) and BVHS Advanced Foods.
The collaborative project embraced the concepts of service and support to the community, with the Creative Minds Club creating soup bowls, which were filled with delicious soups made by the Advanced Food class, and free will donations were received at the event with all proceeds going to the Brandon Food Pantry. These types of service-learning projects benefit the greater community and promote civic engagement with students. Service learning is embedded throughout and within the Brandon Valley culture and positively impacts our students and the greater community.
We would also like to give a shout-out to our School Counselors and the valuable role they play within our education system. Feb. 3-7 marks National School Counseling Week and serves as a prime opportunity to say “Thank You” for the critical role our School Counselors play for students, staff, and families.
