Storytime with the man in blue

Brandon Police and Brandon Valley School Resource Officer Tyler Carda took tiime out of his day last week to read books to children ages birth to 5 during storytime at the Brandon Community Library. Officer Carda also educated the kids on the tools he carries every day to perform his job. The local library offers a variety of fun and educational programs each week, like this Saturday, when Tail Waggin’ Tutors (man’s best friend) will be at the Brandon Library from 10-11 a.m. Tail Waggin’ Tutors is offered the first Saturday of the month February through May. This program is an avenue to boost a child’s reading skills. Parents and guardians are encouraged to book a 15-minute reading session with a certified therapy dog  by calling 605-582-2390.
