Senior Spotlight: Julia Andresen

Although Julia Andresen plans to further her education at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, this 2019 Brandon Valley High School senior has yet to pare down her career choice. Her interests currently lie government, law or business.
Andresen admires First Daughter Ivanka Trump, her pick to have lunch with, because “I admire her drive to be successful despite having a privileged upbringing and her support of women in the workplace,” she said. “I respect her dedication to her family and how she has dealt with the harsh criticism of being in the political spotlight with poise, confidence and class. She is an accomplished author, businesswoman, political advisor, wife and mother. Political views aside, I think she is a great role model for young women.”
At BVHS, Andresen has been involved with the Best Buddies program, Mu Alpha Theta, National Honors Society girls’ golf, HOSA, Collision and Spanish Club.
She also works part-time at Oh My Cupcakes!, serves as a student mentor for BV sixth-grade teacher, Lisa Reinschmidt, and is a mentor for seventh grade girls through her involvement with Collision.
The daughter of Shane and Dawn Andresen’s favorite color is “every shade of pink,” any movies inspired by author Nicholas Sparks, especially The Notebook, the Minnesota Vikings, and celebrity Kendall Jenner.
One of top memories of high school involved planning and creating a school-wide lip dub that with two her best friends on homecoming Friday.
