Richard “Rich” D. Rowland, 72, of Sioux Falls, died Sunday, Oct 12, 2025, at Ava’s Hospice House after a brief illness. A Celebration of His Life will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 25, 2025, at George Boom Funeral Chapel in Brandon.  Visitation will begin an hour prior to the service.  

He is survived by his life partner, Sherry Martinmaas; children, Laura (Walter) Smith of Palm Coast, Fla. and Brian Rowland of Raytown, Mo.; his bonus children, Wesley (Kathy) Gravning of Brandon, Micheal (Ashley) Gravning of Brandon, and Christopher Martinmaas of Sioux Falls; sisters, Debra (Rick Lawrence) Rowland of Phoenix, Ariz., and Kathi (David) Stewart of Scottsdale, Ariz.; 19 grandchildren and bonus grandchildren, MaKayla Lonehill, Kylee Lonehill, Bella Ventura, Evan Lonehill, Tyrell Smith, Ella Lonehill, Khayla Smith, Anastasia Perez, Kristine Smith, Christian Smith, Cole Smith, Ronald Smith, Adicus Smith, Reno Smith, Sage Gravning, Rylan Gravning, Adalynn Gravning, Brynn Gravning, and Sutton Gravning; future great-granddaughter, Evangeline; and many cousins and friends.
