Randal Roger Rist, 78, of Brandon, passed away peacefully on Sunday, Aug. 30, 2026 at Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls

A memorial service, followed by military honors and burial, was held Friday, Sept. 4, 2026 at the South Dakota Veterans Cemetery, Sioux Falls.

He is survived by his two sons, Kenneth (Bridget) of Brandon, Matthew (Michelle) of Riverton N.J.; four granddaughters, Kelsey (AJ) Holtz of Sioux Falls, Brynne (Mallory) McQuistan of Elkhorn, Neb., Paige Rist and Addison Rist, both of Mankato Minn.; and five great-grandchildren; sister, Glenda Carlson; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
