Rachel Wiese, 35

Rachel Lynn Wiese, 35, of Brandon, passed away and entered her place among the angels on Friday, Jan. 12, 2024, due to a sudden health issue.

A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 19, 2024 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls from 5-7:30 p.m. A memorial service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 20, 2024 at Risen Savior Catholic Church in Brandon. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a memorial donation to her family.

Rachel was born to Robert and Candace (Samson) McNamara on Feb. 27, 1988 in Sioux Falls. Rachel was raised and received her education in Brandon graduating from Brandon Valley High School in 2006. Following high school, Rachel continued her education at South Dakota State University in Brookings, graduating with a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in painting and print making.

Rachel met her husband Kyle, while showcasing her artwork in his former art gallery. The two were quick to connect and soon after, began making a life together. Rachel and Kyle were united in marriage on Oct. 16, 2018. What would begin as a family of three with Kyle and his daughter Rialey, soon became a loving family of six, with the additions of Rachel’s fur-baby, Ollie, and then with the births of her three perfect children Nolan, Shep, and Mack. She started staying home after the third boy and became the most amazing role model for her boys. Rachel and her family recently moved to Brandon so that she could raise her family near her beloved parents and sister Lauren, with her two kids, Brayden, and Brooklynn. Anybody who would have known her 15 years ago would not have guessed this girl to return home but it ended up being the beginning of something beautiful.

Rachel was known for her creative mind and many talents, which she showcased in many different mediums from painted works to singing in her absolutely gorgeously smooth voice while playing keyboard or strumming a guitar. She was connected to nature from the moment she was born and enjoyed being outdoors for any reason from hiking, fishing, or simply to explore and photograph.

She held her grandparent’s farm near Eden, S.D., as nourishment for her soul. she made countless memories with her family and friends, and was just starting in the last year to visit with her young boys so they could experience a taste of the same.

Rachel was taken too soon and will now have to watch over and provide guidance from above. Rachel was forever thankful for her many family members and friends. She will be missed by all and never forgotten.
