Margaret Louise Krahn was born Dec. 10, 1932, in Minnesota to Herman and Etta (Miller) Krahn. She graduated in 1952 from Luverne (Minn.) High School, went directly to Northwestern Bell Telephone Company, and worked as a switchboard operator and bookkeeper. She met Eugene “Don” Clemetson on a blind date when she was 18 years old, they were married on May 9, 1954, in Luverne. To this union, two children, Gregory and Rebecca were born and she quit working and stayed home with them. They have been in Brandon since 1959.
Once the kids were grown, Don and Marge began their travels. Together they enjoyed camping, golfing, archery, fishing, bowling, and traveling. They started to go to auctions and she began selling antiques at Vick’s Flea Market, in Spirit Lake, Iowa. Then, she rented a booth in 1997 at the Tea Antique Mall near Tea, S.D., and she worked there until she was 90 years old. They were founding members of Heritage Lutheran Church and loved attending. She will be greatly missed by all those who knew her.
Grateful for having shared her life are her children, Greg Clemetson and Becky (Bill) Beck, all of Brandon; grandson, Brian (Abbey) Beck of Beverly Hills, Fla.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Marge was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Don. Visit georgeboom.com for on online guestbook.
