Brandon Valley’s marching band came within .9 of a point of winning last week’s band contest in Marshall, Minn.
The Marching Lynx placed second behind SF Roosevelt at the Sept. 23 competition. The BV band took first in battery percussion, concert percussion, color guard and woodwinds.
“It was our strongest show of the season as we hit the midway point in our season,” said band director Chris Borchardt.
The Marching Lynx compete at 3:45 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 30, in Luverne, Minn. That night they’ll perform the finale at the Big Sioux Review, which Brandon Valley hosts. The Lynx will take the field at 10:15 p.m.
