Scouts of the Week

Lynx football players recognized this week as “Scouts of the Week” are Ethan Tellinghuisen, Cole Sylliaasen, Jackson Bruggeman, Ryan Barker, Eli Klein and Tyler Small. Defensive coach Matt Christensen describes these athletes as “the best practice players of the week.”

“They are battling the starters in practice, which is a thankless and extremely tough job. They mimic our upcoming opponents’ strategies, which maximizes our chances at success in the games on Friday nights,” Christensen said.

 

Lynx JV boys’ golf

Brandon Valley’s JV boys’ golf team had a tough go of it Sept. 26 at Elmwood Golf Course, as the Lynx finished at the bottom of the five-team competition.

Team scores: O’Gorman 155, SF Washington 159, SF Roosevelt 162, SF Lincoln 168, Brandon Valley 192.

Lynx scores: Brody Olivier and Matt Anderson 47, Owen Sanders 48, Garret Hennen 50, Colby Meyer 51, Kellen Olson 54.

The JV Lynx wrapped up their season by moving up in the pack at their home invite, which was played Sept. 28. Brody Olivier, who carded a 65, placed in a four-way tie for eighth place to lead BV.

Team scores: Lincoln 252; Roosevelt 257; O’Gorman 258; BV Red 277; BV Black 277; Washington 288.

Lynx scores: BV Red – Brody Olivier 65; Matt Anderson 66; Will Bommersbach and Ethan Cushing 73; Seth Fjerestad 77. BV Black – Kellen Olson 63, Owen Sanders 69, Colby Meyer 71; Garret Hennen 74.

 

Splitrock Ladies League

The Splitrock Ladies bowled on Sept. 26 with the following results: High Team Game & Series – Steve’s Electric, 830 and 2,430. High Individual Game & Series - Cheryl Lyngen, an errorless 201 and 488.

Gwynne Anderson picked up the 5-10 split; Gloria Zellmer picked up the 4-5 split; Pat Paulsen picked up the 5-6-10 split; and Ann Boeve picked up the 2-7 split.
