Loyalty Day Parade is our thank you to the community
Brandon is such an amazing community that supports Veterans like no other. So, one day every Spring, the Veterans like to give that back and say ‘thank you’ to the community for what you do for us.
On Sunday, May 5, 2024, the clouds parted, the sun shone, and the wind was turned down just enough for a perfect Loyalty Day Parade! The Brandon Three Rivers VFW Post 4726 and the Auxiliary wish to say thank you to the Brandon community for such an indescribable day.
The 58th Annual Loyalty Day Parade saw 44 bikes and seven scooters being given away to many smiling children. Over 160 floats made for a parade viewing that ran well over an hour and the number of spectators made for one of the largest crowds in years. Candy, oh my! There was enough candy thrown from the floats to add three more dentists to the town.
It would not be possible without all the volunteer help and the generous donors. Heartfelt thanks to: FlexIt Hydraulics, Gil Haugan Construction, Barnhart Crane and Rigging, Ed Polzine Wild Game Feed group, Avera Therapy, Cliff Foss, other VFW Post members and staff, VFW patrons, Brandon Lumber, Marv’s Sanitation, Sunshine/Tony’s Catering, Brandon Fire Department, Beth Warden and Stacy Jones (emcees), the Brandon Valley Journal, and foremost, of all the Community of Brandon!
