Leo Hanisch, 86

Leo Jerome Hanisch, 86, of Brandon, died Tuesday, July 11, 2023 at his home in rural Brandon. Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, July 17, 2023 at St. Ann Catholic Church in Humboldt. Interment was in the South Beaver Valley Cemetery, rural Valley Springs.  

He is survived by his children, Jeff Hanisch, Sioux Falls, Jill (Mark) Hull, Midlothian, Texas, Jay (Lisa) Hanisch, Sioux Falls, and Julie Hanisch, Chester; two step-children, Carrie (Bryan) Wieman, Madison, and Jeff (Michelle) Finley, Shakopee, Minn.; his best friend and companion of nine years, Glenda Koel, Brandon; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; siblings, Lorraine Johnson, Terry (Linda) Hanisch and Bob (Robyn) Hanisch; special friends, Dave and Carol Galbavy; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
