Kristine “Kris” Kreiter O’Connell, 69

Kristine “Kris” Kreiter O’Connell, 69, of Sioux Falls, died Wednesday, Feb. 25, 2026, at the Dougherty House in Sioux Falls. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial was held Tuesday, March 3, 2026 at Holy Spirit Catholic Church in Sioux Falls, with burial at St. Michael Cemetery, also in Sioux Falls. 

Kristine “Kris” Louise Kreiter was born Jan. 20, 1957, in Brandon, to Robert and Delores (Luethje) Kreiter. She was raised and received her education here, graduating from Brandon Valley High School. 

She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” O’Connell, Sioux Falls; daughter, Kelly (Jason) Wagner, Sioux City, Iowa; grandchildren, Hope, Gabrielle, and Jacob Wagner; brother, Jeff (Jan) Kreiter, Sioux Falls; sister, Kim (Stuart) Sheppard, Bentonville, Ark.; nephews, Ben Kreiter and Jordan Sheppard; the entire O’Connell Clan; other relatives and friends.
