Jason Smith, 55

Jason Joseph Smith, 55, of Sioux Falls, died Friday, Oct. 17, 2025, from a lengthy illness at Avera Hospital in Sioux Falls.

A memorial gathering was held at Chapel Hill Funeral Home on Tuesday, Oct. 28, followed by a memorial ser vice that evening.

He is survived by his longtime friend, Linda Mauseth, and many others; sisters, Victoria (Craig) Wittrock Sioux Falls, Nichole (Chad) DeVries Brandon, and Cindy (Chad) Egeberg Brookings; and many nephews and nieces.
