Ice time scheduled for girls' hockey

Brandon Valley Hockey Association has penciled in some ice time for girls in the Brandon and Valley Springs area that have expressed interest in playing hockey for the Brandon Valley IceCats, who are not registered with another hockey program.
Jon Johnson, BVHA’s director of coaching, will introduce girls interested in joining the program in the 2018-19 season on the basic fundamentals and rules of the game.
The training program is for all girls ages 3 to 17, and is free of charge. Practice will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. on Fridays, beginning Jan. 5 at the new outdoor rink at McHardy Park.

Open skate at BVHA outdoor rink
The Brandon Valley Hockey Association outdoor rink is up and running, and is offering open skate and open hockey times to the public. Volunteer chaperones over the age of 18 are required.
Weekly schedule and fees can be found at brandonvalleyhockey.com. Times and dates may change without much notice due to weather or games. Rules and fees apply to all skaters.
