I-90 detoured through May

The South Dakota Department of Transportation, in cooperation with the Minnesota Department of Transportation, has closed eastbound I-90 from the Minnesota State line (Valley Springs rest area) to three miles east of I-90 Exit 1 in Minnesota.

Eastbound I-90 traffic is being directed in a two-way diversion in the westbound lanes until late May. Minnesota Exit 1 eastbound I-90 on and off ramps are closed.

Drivers should be alert to slowing and merging traffic, speed limit, exit and detour signs, and construction workers and equipment adjacent to the driving lanes.

This work is being done by South Dakota to install a Weigh-In-Motion system by Henry Carlson Construction of Sioux Falls.
