Venture out to Beaver Creek Nature Area, Beaver Creek Nature Area, 48351 264th St., Valley Springs, from 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 8 for the 46th Annual Homestead Day Celebration. The event is free for all ages.
Enjoy the sights, sounds and smells of the pioneer life from over 100 years ago. The historical Samuelson cabin will be open for visitors to see and experience. There will also be pioneer agriculture demonstrations, blacksmithing, civil war soldiers, Dutch oven cooking, rope making, candle dipping, music and more.
