Cynde Lou Stoakes, 68

Cynde Lou Stoakes, 68, of Hartford, died Friday, July 18, 2025 in Sioux Falls. A memorial service celebrating her life will begin at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 24, 2025 at George Boom Funeral Home & On-Site Crematory in Sioux Falls. Her family will be present to greet friends for a memorial visitation on Wednesday evening from 5-7 p.m., also at the funeral home.

She is survived by her husband of 47  years, Dennis Lee Stoakes, Hartford; daughter, Anna (Dr. Nathan Wong) Stoakes-Wong of Valley Springs; son, Preston (Daniela Villanueva-Stoakes) Stoakes, Lincoln, Neb.; three grandchildren, Jesus Daniel, Preston Jr. and Michelle; brother, Dick (Phyllis) Stratton, Hartford; sister, RoseAnn (Greg) Wendell, Pierre; Dennis’ siblings, Rosalie Maher, Auburn, Calif., James (Judy) Stoakes and Deborah Stoakes, all of Sioux Falls; many nieces, nephews and friends.
