Chamber Chat: This Saturday, ‘Shop Small,’ shop at home

As we step into the most wonderful time of the year, the Brandon Valley Area Chamber of Commerce is excited to kick off the holiday season with Shop Small Saturday this Saturday, Nov. 29. This special day is more than a shopping event, it’s a celebration of the small businesses that make our Brandon community thrive.
When you choose to shop locally, you’re doing far more than checking items off a gift list. You’re supporting your neighbors, strengthening our local economy, and helping ensure the unique shops, services and restaurants we all love continue to grow. Every purchase – big or small – has a meaningful impact. Local shopping also contributes to the sales tax revenue that funds essential services, improvements, and amenities that help Brandon grow and thrive.
This year, we encourage you to grab your Shop Small Saturday postcard and make a day out of visiting each participating business to check out their special promotions. From handcrafted gifts, holiday décor, services and treats at the Vendor Fair, to unexpected finds throughout town, our community is filled with opportunities to discover something special. Many of our Chamber members will be offering Shop Small Saturday promotions, giveaways, and festive experiences that make the day even more memorable.
Whether you’re shopping for loved ones or treating yourself, your dollars truly make a difference right here at home.
Let’s come together to celebrate our local business community and make this holiday season bright. Thank you for shopping and supporting our local businesses. We can’t wait to see you out and about on Nov. 29!
