The Lynx continued where they left off last week by defeating Harrisburg and Yankton at Spring Creek Sept. 5. BV tallied six shots less than second-place Harrisburg, 322-328. Yankton came in at 339.
Jackson Faber once again led the Lynx, carding a 79. Austin Swenson matched Faber’s 79, as both players finished in a three-way tie for second. Matt and Mitch Gusso rounded out the varsity scores, posting rounds of 80 and 84, respectively, for the Lynx.
“I know they left some shots out there but it was a tough day,” Lynx head coach Scott Carroll said. “The wind was blowing hard, so it did cause for some really tough holes today. I was happy with the way they played and glad we got to play Spring Creek, as this will be where the ESD Conference is. This was great for the boys to see this course and take mental notes for the conference tournament, and I believe they will all play better next time because of seeing the course.”
Brody Olivier led the Lynx JV with a solid score of 85.
The Lynx compete Friday at the Mitchell Invite and head to the Yankton Invite on Tuesday, Sept. 19.
