Sioux Valley Energy annual meeting set for June 9
Sioux Valley Energy invites its members to attend the Cooperative’s annual meeting on Tuesday, June 9.
The meeting will be held at three locations, with the Tri-Valley High School location at 46474 252nd St., Colton, serving as the primary site. Satellite locations will be the Pipestone Area Schools, 1401 7th St. SW, Pipestone, Minn., and the Sioux Valley High School,200 Hansina Ave., Volga.
A meal of hamburger or hot dog with Italian pasta salad, chips, cookie, and water will be served from 5-7 p.m. and members can play Bingo for prizes between 5:15-6:50 p.m. The meeting is from 7-7:45 p.m.
The meeting will also be livestreamed at www.siouxvalleyenergy.com.
Bickley joins membership of American Angus Association
Bart Bickley, Brandon, is a new member of the American Angus Association.
The American Angus Association, with more than 21,000 active adult and junior members, is the largest beef breed association in the world. Its computerized records include detailed information on over 21 million registered Angus.
The Association records ancestral information and keeps production records and genomic data on individual animals to develop industry-leading selection tools for its members. The programs and services of the Association and its entities – Angus Genetics Inc., Angus Media, Certified Angus Beef LLC and the Angus Foundation – help members advance the beef cattle business by selecting the best animals for their herds and marketing quality genetics for the beef cattle industry and quality beef for consumers.
Special Education performance reports now available
The South Dakota Department of Education has posted annual reports providing school districts’ performance on improving the educational outcomes of students with disabilities.
These reports address the federal requirements under Part B of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). The data used is from the 2024-25 school year.
State departments publish these reports annually, including a state performance plan, which evaluates the implementation of IDEA and progress in improving outcomes for students with disabilities.
