Brandon couple brings Thai, Lao cuisine to The Empire Mall

A Brandon couple, Nouane and Bruce Taylor, specializing in sticky rice and other Thai and Lao cuisine, opened a restaurant, Dokmai’s Sticky Rice, on Nov. 1 in the food court at The Empire Mall in Sioux Falls.

Menu items include appetizers such as egg rolls, crab rangoon and firecracker shrimp; noodle dishes like pad thai and khao piak sen, the Lao version of chicken noodle soup; and entrees such as lemongrass pork steak and fried rice with shrimp or chicken.

Kingbird Coffee Shop adds delivery service

Kingbird Coffee Shop in Brandon has added delivery in the Brandon area. The service is available from 6:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. weekdays with a $20 minimum order.
