BCF: ‘Our word is GRATITUDE’
There are lots of words that can be used to express our sentiment about the 2020 calendar year. From the perspective of the Brandon Community Foundation – an organization founded to improve the lives of people right here in our own community through the financial support of organizational enhancement grants – our word is Gratitude. We are so grateful for the support the community has shown over the last 15 years as we raise funds which support charitable grants servicing non-profit organizations in the greater Brandon Community.
The Brandon Community Foundation will give away over $35,000 in grants at the upcoming celebratory fundraiser, Oak and Vine, on Friday, Oct. 30. We look forward to a wonderful evening celebrating the generosity of our sponsors and donors as we award grants to 11 recipients. Special tribute will be paid to Roger Hunt, our 2020 Spirit of Brandon award winner. The award will be received by his children who are growing his legacy and furthering his commitment to community enrichment. There will be music, appetizers, beverages, and a joyful celebration of gratitude for all who have given to improve the lives of all people throughout our incredible community.
The event has been planned to accommodate social distancing and tickets are limited. Masks are encouraged, but not required.
