Emmet Hansen guided the Lynx boys golf team in their second run at a conference title last week, but the sophomore’s five-way tie for fourth place wasn’t enough to overcome three of the Metro Conference’s five teams.
The Lynx boys posted their best team score of the season, shooting 310 for a sixth-place finish at the Sept. 14 Mitchell Invitational. The Lynx were led by Austin Swenson, who carded a solid 73, landing him in a tie for sixth place in the 18-team tournament.
